A herbivorous copepod from the North Atlantic Ocean, which feeds exclusively on marine phytoplankton and is at the first level of the food chain: no bioaccumulation as in large predatory fish, product guaranteed free from heavy metals.
Omega-3 (EPA and DHA) presented in the form of wax esters (fatty acid esters), a form distinct from the triglycerides of fish oils and from the phospholipids of krill oil, reputed to be better assimilated than these conventional sources.
Naturally contains astaxanthin, a natural antioxidant that gives the oil its red colour and contributes to its stability.
From sustainable and eco-responsible fishing certified IFFO RS and ISO 26000. Calanus finmarchicus reproduces twice as fast as it is fished.
Clean Label product, without excipients. Fish gelatine capsule. Origin Europe.

The omega-3 in Omega Calanus is presented in the form of wax esters (fatty acid esters), whereas fish oils contain triglycerides and krill oil phospholipids. Wax esters are a distinct lipid form.
Calanus finmarchicus is at the first level of the food chain and feeds exclusively on phytoplankton. It is therefore not affected by the bioaccumulation phenomenon that affects large predatory fish.
