Hydroxytyrosol is a phenolic compound naturally found in olive leaves and in olive oil. It is both fat-soluble and water-soluble. On the ORAC scale (oxygen radical absorbance capacity), it shows a value of 68,576.
Brown glass protects the oil from light, which preserves the antioxidants (in particular the tocopherols). It also makes it possible to avoid any trace of plastic in the product.
