The artichoke is standardised in cynarin and the milk thistle at 80% in silymarin, itself standardised in silybin and isosilybin: the two extracts are standardised on their markers, not merely dosed by weight of plant.

Four of the five plants in the formula — chrysanthellum (Chrysanthellum americanum), artichoke (Cynara scolymus), milk thistle (Silybum marianum) and dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) — belong to the Asteraceae family: to be ruled out in case of a known allergy to this family (mugwort, ragweed, arnica, chrysanthemum, camomile).
